another one finished up! This really was my oldest work-in-progress! this top has been sitting partially quilted for 2 1/2 years.
i think my original inspiration came from these bee blocks that i made. i always liked that lone row of geese, but decided to make them proper geese and fly across the quilt. and of course i was on a huge rainbow kick.
it feels so good to have it finished up. i think the one thing that i really like about it at this point is the quilting design, which i had actually drawn up way back then as well.
on to the next one!!

It's so very lovely!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with this quilt!

ReplyDeleteSo fresh and fun! I love a white background.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I have many of those unfinished, can't finish quilts sitting around. My goal this year is to finish them!!
ReplyDeleteI love the sense of movement in this quilt. You're eye is drawn one direction with the flying geese, then when you take a second look and catch sight of the quilting everything flows in another direction. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous! I love bright colours against pure white!
ReplyDeleteOoh, it's so lovely! And the quilting adds extra movement to the geese. Like air currents :)
